There is some confusion about "resetting" an Epson printer. These resets are as resetting the waste ink pad counter. They address different issues.
Resetting the digital counter tricks the printer into thinking the waste ink pads are completely brand new and empty. However, the physical foam pads inside the printer still contain all the ink accumulated over the past few years.
