Improper settings or a faulty connection at the display processor unit. Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide
The problem is likely power-related (motor relay, fuse) or a failed motor.
Loose or corroded connections, particularly the multi-pin plugs on the display unit or within the scanner.
Many JRC radars interface with external sensors such as gyro compasses and speed logs through an NSK unit. Incorrect switch settings can prevent proper bearing synchronization and may generate sync-related alarms. The NSK Unit switches S2 and S3 must be set according to the type of gyro compass installed: set to [SYNC] for synchro signal output or [STEP] for step signal output. If the signal type setting is mismatched, the radar cannot process heading information correctly. Similarly, S1-1 on certain models controls the type of gyro signal (step vs. synchro) and should be verified against the installed compass.
Follow these steps to diagnose and repair the "No Sync Signal" on your JRC radar. Step 1: Check Power and Initial Startup
