To achieve maximum heat resistance, chemical durability, and physical strength, UCAST V461 parts generally require a post-cure heat cycle. Place the demolded part into an industrial oven at elevated temperatures (typically 65°C to 80°C / 150°F to 175°F) for 6 to 8 hours. Allow the part to cool down slowly to room temperature inside the oven to prevent thermal shock and warping.
Start a timer immediately upon combining the two parts. Use a flat-edged mixing stick or a mechanical drill mixer at a low RPM (to avoid whipping air into the liquid).
