Before the world typed "Migos Culture zip" into search bars, the group was the king of the mixtape circuit. Their breakthrough came with the Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas) mixtape in 2013, which birthed "Versace."
In 2017, Migos dropped their highly anticipated album "Culture II", which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. However, before "Culture II", the group released a mixtape that would change the game - "Culture". The "Culture" mixtape, released on January 27, 2017, was a game-changer, and it set the stage for the group's future success. Two years later, on February 8, 2019, Migos released "Culture III", the final installment of the "Culture" series.
Released three years after its predecessor, Culture III arrived with the weight of expectation and, tragically, the foreknowledge of loss (Takeoff was murdered over a year after the album’s release, in November 2022). The for III is the most introspective.
