Accessing and distributing adult content online is incompatible with several Indonesian laws. The country has a robust legal framework to combat these activities. The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has been highly active, reporting that it handled over 4.19 million instances of negative online content between October 2024 and April 2026. The bulk of these actions targeted online gambling, but pornography is a very close second, with over 3.2 million cases.
