Bart is sent to a miserable rural farm, where he is forced to work as a slave for two corrupt winemakers, Cesar and Ugolin. They make him sleep in a dirty cellar, feed him garbage, and force him to work long hours. However, Bart learns they are cheating by adding antifreeze to their wine. He calls the French authorities, who arrest the men. Bart becomes a local hero and returns home speaking fluent French.
